I won the Bodeans "Pig out for a year" award!

At this year's London NFL game, I won the most amazing prize. Quite wonderfully the lovely people from Bodeans BBQ spotted me at Wembley with Staley the custom made Bears hat and voted for me as...wait for it... "The best dressed fan" at the game. I was gobsmacked.

When I called them up, they told me that I had won their prestigious "Pig out for a year!"award. I couldn't believe it. It took a while for the card and the terms and conditions to arrive, but finally two days ago Steph and I went to the Bodeans in Soho, just like the week before and got another great tailgate meal.

This wonderful card gives me and one other person of my choosing two free "pig out meals" at any of their branches, one time per week, over 52 weeks. What an amazing prize! Not only is Bodeans one of my favourite restaurants, but it is by far the best place to watch the NFL or College football in London, if not the country and here I am blsessed with a card that allows me to go 52 times for free!

The "pig out meal" changes from  week to week and Steph and I were so excited about going back to Bodeans that we brought her younger sister along too. The same sister that joined me at the Bears game in London this year, who is now a fully fledged Bears fan.

Unlike last week, I thought ahead and actually booked us a table downstairs in their famous rib room. And just like last week people were queing outside the door. The pig out meal this week was a half rack of baby back ribs, pulled pork with coleslaw and fries.

As I mnetioned last week, as good as the pulled pork is it does have a tendency to go dry if you don't eat it straight away. Steph and I took to our pulled pork like fiends and devoured that pretty quickly. Vanessa, Steph's sister went for the queater chicken and instantly told us it was better than Nandos, of which she is a big fan.

Both my pork and ribs were enjoyed with lashings of Chipotle Bodeans sauce, while Steph opted for sour cream and Bodeans Hickory smoked BBQ suace. The baby back ribs were decent.

Don't get me wrong, we were loving the free food and the ESPN coverage of college football, but for me, other than their amazing sandwiches, the two dishes that make Bodeans truely stand out it, is their burnt ends (brisket) and their whopping Jacob's ladder monsterous ribs, so hopefully either of those will be on the pig out menu soon.

Thanks Bodeans BBQ, and we will be seeing you next week and 50 times after that!
